About the Capt
Capt. Freeman learned to walk when his dad was putting new line on a fishing rod, and has had a love affair with water ever since. He’s honed his skills on freshwater lakes and rivers as well the Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. Craig has earned both Expert and Master angler status from the state of Virginia and is currently working to obtain his level 2 Master angler status.

Capt. Craig is known in the local area a shallow water/flats fishing specialist. He helped to start the Bull Island Anglers Club and is a member of the PSWSFA as well. He fishes in several local fishing tournaments and was the Captain of the winning boat in the 2014 Chesapeake Bay Cobia Classic.

Capt. Craig Freeman of Grading Scales Sportfishing specializes in chasing Speckled Trout, Puppy Drum, Flounder and Rockfish in the shallow waters of Poquoson, which is his hometown. However, his skills are not limited to "skinny" water fishing.

Craig's vast knowledge of the local waters around the Chesapeake Bay and it's tributaries ensure a fun time will be had by all, and gives clients a great opportunity to catch fish!
